Policies and Procedures

Infectious diseases

You must inform the nursery staff as soon as possible if your child has an infectious disease. The nursery has a sickness policy and takes advice from the local government ‘infection control for day care’ guidelines and will also act in accordance with their ‘sickness policy’.

Personal property

All items of clothing and personal property should be clearly named.
All children should bring at least one change of clothing.
The nursery cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property however caused.

Emergency contacts

It is essential that the nursery can contact a parent or carer or another named person in case of an emergency or otherwise.
Any changes to these contacts must be passed to the nursery before your child next attends.

Fire precautions

The nursery complies with all fire regulations and has regular fire drills.
All fire appliances are regularly checked and maintained.
The nursery premises operates a strictly no smoking policy.


We sincerely hope that you never have cause to complain however if you do please follow this procedure.
1 Speak to the manager, your concern maybe quickly allayed by them
2 If you are still not satisfied please ask for a concern resolution form. This can be completed and returned to the manager and sent directly to the committee.
3 If the concern is still not resolved then you can ask to meet with the regional manager or child care director who will try to resolve you difficulty.
